TAXI: When you come directly out of the arrivals area there will be taxi drivers who ask you immediately if you want a taxi. They are probably best avoided. Walk through the doors to the outside area where a number of decent companies will be waiting. They are MPT TAXI, SAWA TAXI AND MERC TAXI. These companies although not the cheapest will not cheat you. Basically always get a taxi with a logo or name on top as these taxis are registered to companies that are accountable for their drivers actions. The price from the airport to the old town (tariff 1) is around 40 PLN(10 US). Alternatively we can arrange everything for you. You need to send a mail with estimated arrival time and flight number. Once we have this information it will be phoned through to "Merc Taxi" located just through the arrival gate in Warsaw's airport. The fare is around 10 USD in the daytime. BUS: There is a bus stand outside right in front of the taxi stand. You should take the 175 bus it goes all the way to the old town. You can purchase a ticket from the driver(2.40 PLN) or inside the airport building (advisable if you do not speak Polish). If you have a large bag you should buy a ticket for that also.
