Goldener Hecht is a small family hotel. You will soon grow fond of the view from your room of the Old Bridge as the great Romantic poets once did. You will find yesterdays atmosphere combined with the comfort of today. This traditional hotel is managed by the Rothe family in the 3rd generation. The proprietress, Eva Rothe, has had the house with 13 rooms renovated and carefully modernized. By the way, Goethe asked for a lodging at the Goldener Hecht. His luck was not so good, all rooms were occupied. Nowadays, the poet would make sure he had a reservation.

- Car Rental Agencies available at the airport: Avis- Europcar- Hertz- Sixt - Get on the highway A 5 in the direction of Basel- and then get on A 656 which ends in Heidelberg. When you get to Heidelberg follow the directions for B 37- which is along the Neckar River. When you see the Old Bridge with two white towers turn to the right about 30 meters before the bridge and stop in the street at the yellow building which you will see on the right.
